Serve to Sustain Society envisions a Canada where everyone has sufficient and healthy food to eat, so its communities can be strong and fair for everyone.
On numerous occasions, we have heard about the prevalence of food insecurity and homelessness in our local regions. It is difficult to fathom that while we live comfortable lives, the larger part of the population surrounding us struggles. With Serve to Sustain Society, we aim to bring attention to those lacking primary needs and take significant steps toward helping them.
Additionally, we aim to induce sustainable practices in terms of food and how it is produced and acquired. Serve to Sustain Society initially started as a small-scale project focusing solely on the Greater Toronto Area; however, it is now striving to expand into the rest of Canada to further tackle the issue of food insecurity.
Donate prepared and canned food to local food banks to be distributed to those in need.
Teach people in schools and communities about why some people don't have enough food and how to use food wisely by posting informational posts, videos, and infographics on social media.
Organize activities and workshops that further intensify people's understanding of the crisis while providing hands-on experience. We hope to create a community sharing the common goal of helping those in need.
